water bills "must rise to avert railtrack-style repairs crisis".

sorry. perhaps i'm being daft here, but shouldn't that headline read:

water companies' profits "must fall to avert railtrack-style repairs crisis"?

since when did a company providing a service have to take no risk with their money and no responsibility for their actions?

oh, i remember - since pig-cunt thatcher sold britain to her vile capitalist-pig backers.

"the industry body, water u.k., said that the common message from the documents was that the 'patch and mend' practices seen since privatisation have to end."

so we have to pay for the companies to take us to the cleaners because they didn't do what any prudent business should have done when they were deregulated.

the fucking water industry should be renationalised, along with electricity, coal, gas, sewage, all aspects of the post, prisons, government property maintenance, etc, etc, etc; oil should be nationalised.
